Top Tips for getting into a good headspace
Starting now, here are a few easy things you can do to help your well-being.
- Eat healthily.
- Get some fresh air and exercise and build up a sweat if you can.
- Relax. Roll your shoulders back and down, breathe and think ‘Relax’
- Let things go. Don’t dwell on what cannot be changed.
- Accept mistakes and move on.
- Be aware of yourself and talk.
- Veer away from the negatives. Consciously seek positives.
- Look for silver linings.
- Get up once awake and don’t lounge in bed.
- Occupy yourself to get your brain and hands engaged.
- Stay active. Boosting your energy begets energy.
- See your friends – in real life, or virtually especially the upbeat ones and make plans.
- Appreciate the good things you have.
- Be happy in your own skin and try and get comfortable with who you are.
- Aim for good relationships with partners, kids, family, colleagues, friends, and communities.
- Try to get a sense of meaning and purpose and make a contribution.
- Once you have the basics in life, the above factors are more important for happiness than wealth and possessions.
- Fake it until you become it. Scientists have found that synthesized happiness is every bit as good and beneficial as naturally induced happiness.
